Spiritual Formation Classes

Children

In the Workshop Rotation Model we learn through art, cooking, science, computers, drama, movies and more!

• Babies up to age 2 are welcome in our nursery during Sunday school hour.
• Children ages 2-Kindergarten may attend preschool-K class from 9:45-10:45.
• Children from 1st grade -8th grade will be participating in the Workshop Rotation model which focuses on learning one story per month in a variety of ways.
• Children's choir (K-6th grade) meets on Tuesdays at 4:15pm.

 

Senior High Youth

Senior High Youth will be studying the Nooma series in the youth room during Spiritual Formation hour and their Wednesday night Bible Studies.  The Nooma Series consists of a short 10 minute video that touches on issues we care about, need to talk about and want to learn about.

 

Adults

• A workshop in "Worship and Spirituality" will be conducted by Doug on Sunday, October 18th from 6-7:30pm.  This workshop will explore our reformed understanding of worship with emphasis on Communion.
   
• The Young Adult Sunday School class (9:45-10:45) will resume on September 13th in the classroom across from the baby nursery.  The Nooma series (presented above in Senior High section) will be studied in this class also.
   
• Our Sunday morning small group, facilitated by Tilda Balsley and others, meets in the room at the top of the stairs to the educational building.  (These steps are near the office area, at the end of the ramp which connects the buildings.)  Using a Word Share Prayer model, we focus on a short scripture passage each week, exploring the connections to our contemporary lives.  After sharing concerns, we pray for each other.  This class has high participation by members, and no lecture.  JOIN US!
   
• David Grogan's class will be studying "The Acts of the Apostles".  The aim is to examine our spiritual roots as expressed through the recorded experiences of the early church that provided them with spiritual vision and vitality.

Bible Study

• Two Bible Study Classes are offered during the week.  Tom Callicut leads the Monday morning class at 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the session room.  David Grogan leads the Wednesday evening class from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
