Advance Directives for Healthcare Planning

A Panel Discussion

May 28, 2025 • 5:30pm • FPC Fellowship Hall

An advance directive in healthcare is a legal document that outlines an individual's wishes regarding their medical care if they become unable to make decisions for themselves. It allows individuals to pre-plan their end-of-life care and ensures that their preferences are followed, even if they are incapacitated.

Our panel will give an overview of what an advance directive is, explain the difference between a living will and a do not resuscitate (DNR) order, offer legal and financial perspectives, explain medical-legal partnerships, and more.

All who attend will have the opportunity to complete their own advance directive, have it notarized, and submitted into Cone Heath’s charting system!
