The First Presbyterian Church Child Development Center (FPCCDC) is dedicated to providing a warm and loving environment for children to learn through play. Our mission is to provide quality and affordable childcare in a non-discriminatory, Christian environment. The FPCCDC seeks to provide an atmosphere in which a child will feel safe, loved, and cared for. We also provide an environment that promotes developmentally appropriate learning in all developmental domains to properly prepare the children for a bright future.
The FPCCDC childcare program is child-centered. The day revolves around each child’s developmental needs and interests. Parents play a very important role in the success of their child in our childcare program. Your family, in cooperation with our staff, has the opportunity to guide your child's development in the most appropriate manner. We encourage parental involvement and input to ensure the highest possible quality program. Your involvement is important, and we welcome your suggestions and comments. We also expect all parents to participate in parent meetings, parent conferences, and attend programs and field trips whenever possible.
While FPCCDC was founded by members of First Presbyterian Church, rents space from the church, and contains ‘First Presbyterian Church’ in its name, it operates wholly independently from the church (though there are occasions for shared programs). Families of the FPCCDC are welcome at any event hosted by First Presbyterian.
