Narcan Training

May 29 • 5:30PM • FPC Sanctuary

In response to the continuing opioid crisis, First Presbyterian Church seeks to educate the community regarding administering Narcan (Naloxone). Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose, very quickly restoring normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing on opioids (heroin, prescription medicines, etc).

Donna Parks Hill, Associate Director of Community Health for the NC Council of Churches, will provide information on how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer Naloxone. We will also have time for a Q&A session.
